Speaker AHe has grey hair and he has a grey beard and he also wears glasses like the guy in the artwork.
Speaker AOh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking.
Speaker ANow, tariff free.
Speaker AHere is Grey Hair Dave.
Speaker BWell, yes, yes, yes, folks, that was elevenlabs IO.

Speaker BSo how are you, folks?
Speaker BFirst of all, let me apologize for not live streaming on the 11th.
Speaker BIt is completely my fault.
Speaker BAnd again, I do apologize.
Speaker BThings came up that were beyond my control and I didn't want to put out terrible quality, especially on my first live show.
Speaker BSo I don't know when I'll try it again.
Speaker BFolks, a lot has to happen and I am not sure how and when, but it'll happen.
Speaker BI'll make it happen.
Speaker BSo let's talk about work for a minute.
Speaker BAs you know, I work for, for the Mouse over here in Orlando, Florida.
Speaker BAnd I went to my doctor last week and he says, here's what we're going to do.
Speaker BWe're going to put you back to regular duty and see what happens with your foot.
Speaker BLast time before that, they gave me a cortisone shot and it, it felt okay for a couple days and then I didn't notice it.
Speaker BAnd he told me last week because I have a new doctor now because I think my other doctor has left the firm.
Speaker BI don't know what's going on there, and I don't know that it was my place to ask, but it probably is because she was my doctor and did my surgery.
Speaker BBut he was very happy with what he.
Speaker BHe did with that examining.
Speaker BHe did, did some more X rays and he goes, the problem with cortisone is it starts out low and then it moves up a little bit, plateaus a little bit, plateaus a little bit, plateaus until you're at full force.
Speaker BHe goes, he should really last six months to a year.
Speaker BOkay, so he says, I'm going to put you back to regular duty.
Speaker BLet's see what happens.
Speaker BI'll see you back in three weeks.
Speaker BSo I thought, great, you know, no more light duty.
Speaker BI'm all for that back being outside all day.
Speaker BI'm kind of all for that now that the weather's getting nicer.
Speaker BSo I got my schedule and I am, I'm back next week.
Speaker BNot this week here, but next week I go back to regular duty.
Speaker BAnd of course, I've been gone for so long, a year and a half, that it's actually like a year and seven months that I have to be retrained because, well, first of all, I've lost all my, all my certifications or everything that I would have had.
Speaker BBut I'll be 100 honest with you, I don't remember everything that we'd had to do, all the, all the safety procedures, the startups and the shutdown procedures, the what happens when it rains procedures, and all these fun things that I have to learn again.
Speaker BSo I'm looking forward to that.
Speaker BThat happens next week.
Speaker BI work three days a week.
Speaker BLuckily, training is only three days a week.
Speaker BSo let's just see what happens there.
Speaker BAnd I'm looking forward to that a lot.
Speaker BI am looking forward to going back.
Speaker BNow.
Speaker BI wanted to talk a little bit about AI and I had mentioned that I was going to do this on the live stream, but live streaming is great and easy to do if you're doing video.
Speaker BSo I went to Claude today and I said, hey, what steps do I have to take to.
Speaker BHave to take to be live with my audio podcast?
Speaker BI do not want to do video with it, I just want to do audio.
Speaker BIt gave me how to do it, how to submit it all pre recorded.
Speaker BAnd I said, whenever it came back.
Speaker BAnd I said, I don't think you understood me.
Speaker BI want to podcast live, not pre recorded.
Speaker BI know some who are doing it.
Speaker BHow do I do it?
Speaker BGreat clarification.
Speaker BLive audio podcasting is different, is a different workflow.
Speaker BLet me look into that options.
Speaker BAnd it came back with basically, yeah, I have.
Speaker BYeah, there's a couple different ways.
Speaker BAnd I knew them.
Speaker BI know one of them is in your RSS feed.
Speaker BYou have to add a lit tag or a live tag, a live item tag, which is a lit tag.
Speaker BAnd that's all with podcasting 2.0 features.
Speaker BNot everybody has done this yet.
Speaker BNot all the hosts have done it, have been able to say, yes, we're going to add this.
Speaker BDon't know why.
Speaker BI think it would improve things.
Speaker BI think that more people would go live.
Speaker BNow, he did tell me that I could go to rss feed or rss.com and go through that.
Speaker BIs that just no?
Speaker BThey're not saying no, actually, that's.
Speaker BI read that wrong.
Speaker BI have to enable My RSS feed.
Speaker BSee, I'm glad I'm talking to you guys.
Speaker BBut basically what they're saying is I need to go to a company called mixlr.com I am not an affiliate there.
Speaker BI create an account, have a paid plan designed for podcasts which will put you live.
Speaker BI looked into the pricing.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker BIf I go by the month, it's like 49amonth.
Speaker BI was like, yeah, I don't think so.
Speaker BJust to, to play with it and go live.
Speaker BI, I would rather just go live on YouTube, I guess.
Speaker BYouTube or even Facebook or Tick Tock or I guess I could go to Twitch.
Speaker BI don't know how many podcasters use Twitch to, to view.
Speaker BI could go to Substack with it.
Speaker BI suppose that might be a thought.
Speaker BLet me break that down as we are talking here.
Speaker BI also do take notes.
Speaker BI really do.
Speaker BI take notes.
Speaker BAnd who doesn't?
Speaker BAnd if you don't, you should let me write that down.
Speaker BLive the sub stack.
Speaker BExcuse the pause here.
Speaker BI always thought I was a multitasker until you try and write and talk at the same time and the world don't come out right.
Speaker BThey come when you go, what the heck?
Speaker BWhat did I say?
Speaker BAnyway, anyways, so there's that.
Speaker BSo that's, that's my, my story about AI today.
Speaker BAnd that's as far as I'm going with AI today.
Speaker BI promised also that I would talk about more or give you a little bit of insight of what I was thinking about with the Gray Hair Dave project.
Speaker BThe Gray Hair Day project already has a name.
Speaker BThe Gray Hair Day Project already has a website.
Speaker BI have built the book.
Speaker BI told you about how to podcast.
Speaker BAnd again, if you're interested in that, drop me a line at five minutes with Gray Hair Dave.
Speaker BGo to the contact Me page or just leave me a voicemail.
Speaker BI'll be happy to send you out a free PDF of that.
Speaker BI want to tell you this, so I am going to put it online on a couple of places.
Speaker BAmazon is one and there's other places that, that sell these types of things because I want to make some money.
Speaker BBut the plan on this, this new project, and I'll tell you what it is, basically there's.
Speaker BI'm not.
Speaker BI'm a senior citizen and you don't know how hard it is to accept that you're a senior citizen when you don't feel like a senior.
Speaker BI don't feel old, folks.
Speaker BI just don't.
Speaker BNow are there days I wake up and go, oh, oh, you know, like your grandfather or your dad did.
Speaker BYes, many days like that.
Speaker BBut I don't feel my age, so I don't act my age most times.
Speaker BSometimes I act my age on purpose, but usually I don't because what's the fun in that?
Speaker BSo I was thinking, I have,.
Speaker AI.
Speaker BHave done a podcast with my brother which if you're interested in listening to that, is called Poetry from Poetry of Christian Faith.
Speaker BWe did a hundred episodes, which is a lot that took two years.
Speaker BIt was a weekly show.
Speaker BAnd I've done a couple other ones.
Speaker BOne's called Memories from the Mouse.
Speaker BI enjoyed that one.
Speaker BI think I told you about that one.
Speaker BThat's the one that the corporation said if I want to keep working here, I couldn't do that anymore.
Speaker BAnd I said I want to keep working.
Speaker BBut there are so many people out there who are over 55 living in communities that are over 55 communities who are still active, vital, knowledgeable and have things to share, whether that is their hobbies like golfing or fishing, crocheting, you know, needlepoint, whatever that is.
Speaker BThat they could do a podcast and I could go in and do that for help them with that.
Speaker BThey may not have the equipment.
Speaker BThey may not even know how to do these things.
Speaker BI do also with that, I'm going to offer them audio and audio video.
Speaker BSo I'm going to do video 2 for them if they want.
Speaker BBut I'm also going to offer legacies if they want to tell their life stories.
Speaker BThe things that their kids may not remember or know or their grandkids or great grandkids may never know because they don't think to ask.
Speaker BI'm going to offer that service also.
Speaker BAnd this is a service I'm going to take to them.
Speaker BThey don't have to come to me.
Speaker BI've already figured out pricing.
Speaker BI've already, I've got a book that they can use like the one you're going to get for free is going to be paid for soon.
Speaker BAnd I will take this to them and the communities and talk with you.
Speaker BOf course, I have to go through the community management.
Speaker BI'll offer them the opportunity to do resident interviews, put them up on their, you know, their, their.
Speaker BWe use something called Cast tv.
Speaker BBut I'm sure they've all got some kind of an in house, closed circuit kind of a thing going.
Speaker BAnd I think that would be a lot of fun for them and a lot of fun for me.
Speaker BAnd there are a lot of these communities in my generalized facility, you know, vicinity.
Speaker BI Do live in Florida, folks.
Speaker BThey call it God's waiting room for a reason.
Speaker BNow, if you're trying to steal this, good luck.
Speaker BIf you're going to do it, do it in another state besides Florida.
Speaker BBut the name is there.
Speaker BI have, I'm not announcing it yet, but this was the week I was going to start by introducing things and I was going to use that live video to send copies of it or snippets of it to some of the managers of these communities that I wanted to talk to.
Speaker BI will still do this.
Speaker BI'll just make a regular recording at a different time of day.
Speaker BSo that's, that's the Gray Hair Dave Project.
Speaker BThat's not the website.
Speaker BThat's not what I'm going to the community let you know.
Speaker BCommunity managers with and saying, hey, here's what I up here's a great.
Speaker BI got this project.
Speaker BIt's called Gray Hair Day Project.
Speaker BNo, I'm not going to do that.
Speaker BSo for those of you who listen, you are now in the know.
Speaker BSo, folks, is podcasting something you want to get into?
Speaker BIs leaving a legacy something you want to get into?
Speaker BLet me know.
Speaker BGo to five minutes with Gray here.
Speaker BDave, I'm here to help you.
Speaker BI'll help you get started.
Speaker BI'll help you do whatever you need to do to teach you how to be a podcaster and get out there.
Speaker BAfter a certain point, of course I'm going to want to be paid.
Speaker BBut in the beginning, if it's just a couple of questions or this or that, I'm always there for you folks because you guys are my, you're my fans and I'm your fan.
Speaker BAnd I'd love.
Speaker BIf you have a podcast, send me a link so I can listen to it.
Speaker BLove to do that.
Speaker BLove to get what you guys are doing.
Speaker BAlso, folks, if you are out and about and you see somebody who doesn't know what a podcast is, you have friends, you have family, you have grandparents who doesn't know what a podcast is.
Speaker BTake them by the hand, grab their phone, pull up the podcast app on either their iPhone or their Android phone.
Speaker BShow them how to do it, show them how to find it.
Speaker BShow them the different genres.
Speaker BUse Five Minutes with Gray Hair Dave as the example.
Speaker BHave them follow me, have them listen to me to see what it's like.
Speaker BShow them the different genres.
Speaker BRight?
Speaker BAlso, folks, you're out and about in your life this week.
Speaker BYou see somebody you don't know or that cashier behind that counter who looks like they're having a day from a day from hell.
Speaker BSmile.
Speaker BSay thank you for being there.
Speaker BSay hello.
Speaker BIt'll make their day.
Speaker BIt'll turn it around, which will make your day better.
Speaker BSo on behalf of Gray Hair Dave here and Gray Hair Productions, I'm going to let you go.
Speaker BAnd I'll talk to you next week.
