Speaker A

Welcome to five Minutes with Gray Hair Dave.

Speaker A

He has gray hair and he has a gray beard and he also wears glasses like the guy in the artwork.

Speaker A

Oh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking now, tariff free.

Speaker A

Here is Gray Hair Dave.

Speaker B

Well, that was 11 labs, folks.

Speaker B

We've been talking about it for a long time.

Speaker B

I use them for my intro.

Speaker B

It's about time to get a new voice or maybe put my own in there.

Speaker B

I don't know.

Speaker B

What do you think?

Speaker B

Maybe I'll use it for the outro where I talk about the things I talk about at the end.

Speaker B

Who knows?

Speaker B

So how are you?

Speaker B

I hope you're doing well, I really do.

Speaker B

I'm doing fantastic.

Speaker B

I'm recording this on a Tuesday and it's the 14th of April, and I, I got done a little while ago, a couple hours ago, actually, filing my taxes.

Speaker B

How here in the US we have to file by the 15th of April every year by midnight the 15th of April.

Speaker B

So, you know, I did it, you know, and I thought I was missing something because I was on workers compensation.

Speaker B

I kept looking and hunting and, and couldn't find a W2 that they send you from or a 1099 they send you for workers comp.

Speaker B

So I contacted work and work said, dave, it's not taxable anymore.

Speaker B

So we're not going to send you one.

Speaker B

Why would we?

Speaker B

Well, okay, duh.

Speaker B

Another duh moment from Dave.

Speaker B

So anyway, I got it all done, went through my favorite Intuit turbotac and I did well.

Speaker B

I did okay and I'm happy about it.

Speaker B

So the weather's starting to warm up here in southern Florida and now I'm going to change subjects.

Speaker B

Now we're going to get on to what we've been talking about here.

Speaker B

And a lot of this has to do with, with the Gray Hair Day project, which of course, as you know, is a secret.

Speaker B

It is and it isn't.

Speaker B

If you do enough research, you could find it.

Speaker B

But I told you last week that I had flawed AI make me a CRM, and I was amazed at what it did.

Speaker B

Oh, it did a fantastic job.

Speaker B

So proud of it.

Speaker B

I know you're gonna say I'm proud of an AI.

Speaker B

Yeah, proud of an AI, Dave.

Speaker B

So I went to it again and I, and I said, okay, you've made this great CRM for it.

Speaker B

Here's what I have been doing on another AI and I actually told it what exactly what I had asked the other AI to do.

Speaker B

I copy and pasted from my very first.

Speaker B

Post into perplexity.

Speaker B

You know, the prompt that I used, I pasted most of it.

Speaker B

I changed a couple of things where I added, I wanted this, you know, I wanted a, a slide deck.

Speaker B

I also wanted a, a different Excel sheet or spreadsheet.

Speaker B

And it came back to me within a minute or so and said, it actually came back, you know, within seconds and said, that is a fantastic idea, Dave.

Speaker B

I'm, I'm surprised nobody's thought of it.

Speaker B

Let me show you what I can do for you.

Speaker B

And it went to work.

Speaker B

Now granted, I did this on my iPad and it's not going to happen.

Speaker B

It is a M4 iPad and I was in an area that doesn't have the greatest Internet.

Speaker B

So five minutes later it came up with a slideshow on what my project was.

Speaker B

Came up with a spreadsheet with the name of the business, the website address, the phone number, the contact, if they could find it, days of operation, all of this.

Speaker B

And it looks fantastic.

Speaker B

The slideshow perplexity that it made was great.

Speaker B

This one is great also.

Speaker B

It's, it's great and it's better in different ways.

Speaker B

And I think I need to modify some things before I, I use it.

Speaker B

Of course, I'm not going to just use AI's words, but I can, I can now print them up and compare between the two on UCM or even put them up side by side of my monitor.

Speaker B

See how I want to, which, you know, which direction I want to go.

Speaker B

I will tell you, I did like the artwork better, the logo that, that Perplexity made.

Speaker B

I did not ask Claude to make me a logo, but, and the, the spreadsheet and the, also the slide deck didn't give me the same colors, of course, because it didn't know what colors I was looking at, but it did a great job.

Speaker B

So I'm going to continue with Claude some more.

Speaker B

So yeah, I'm, I'm going to continue to use cloud AI for, for a lot of things.

Speaker B

Now there's different versions of cloud AI I'm using.

Speaker B

I think it's Sora 4.6 or sort or whatever, and it's really, really good.

Speaker B

Am I going to go and go to Claude Code or Claude coworker Claude Code?

Speaker B

Probably not, because I don't, I don't need it to code anything I've got.

Speaker B

That's not what I'm doing.

Speaker B

You know, a cloud co work I have started to look into and I'll give you a report next week about what I think about Claude code.

Speaker B

Now I also wanted to tell you this today.

Speaker B

When I get done with this recording, I am going to run it through Whisper AI and see what kind of transcript it gives me compared to the transcript I get from Captivate fm.

Speaker B

A Captivate fm, they're my hosting company.

Speaker B

They host this podcast and numerous other ones that I have.

Speaker B

And they have an AI agent that is there to translate.

Speaker B

And also it gives episode title suggestions.

Speaker B

It does dynamic ad insertion, which I think is fantastic.

Speaker B

It also does chapters.

Speaker B

It'll also do any.

Speaker B

If I've talked about a website, it'll.

Speaker B

It'll reflect that and it'll tell you what they were.

Speaker B

But there's also a section where it'll put a link in for it too.

Speaker B

So there's a link to Five Minutes with Gray Hair Day.

Speaker B

There's a link to Gray Hair Productions.

Speaker B

There is a link to 11 Labs IO, which is.

Speaker B

I'm an affiliate of.

Speaker B

So if you do use them, I will get an affiliate payout and I wish that you would because they do some fantastic work.

Speaker B

At least go, go look it up and look it up and check it out because it's well worth it.

Speaker B

It's.

Speaker B

The things that it's doing now are very, very exciting.

Speaker B

Just like I, I could throw this also into Descript, which I have, I pay for monthly, have it do the transcript for me and, and try it that way.

Speaker B

But I don't think I'm going to go that way.

Speaker B

I just want to try Whisper AI.

Speaker B

I may even try throwing it into Gemini and see what it says.

Speaker B

Who knows?

Speaker B

We'll just have to see.

Speaker B

So with all that being said, if this sounds a little different, I'm recording in.

Speaker B

The car was a little noisy in the house today, so I said, you know, let's try something different.

Speaker B

So I grabbed a different microphone.

Speaker B

Instead of being on the Shure SM7B.

Speaker B

Now, today I am on a Q2U.

Speaker B

Now, if you're just starting out podcasting or you want to start podcasting, go to five minutes of Gray Hair Dave leaving you either a voicemail or go to the Contact Me page and let me know.

Speaker B

Or go to Gray Hair Productions.

Speaker B

Go to the Contact Me page.

Speaker B

Leave me a message.

Speaker B

I'd be happy to contact you when you do this.

Speaker B

One of the things I'm going to tell you about is the, the equipment that I use.

Speaker B

There's an equipment list on.

Speaker B

I think it's on Gray Hair Productions.

Speaker B

If not, I'll make sure it is today.

Speaker B

And the Samson Q2U is one that I suggest you start with.

Speaker B

I don't suggest a blue Yeti.

Speaker B

I suggest this because it has much, much better quality and you can do multiple things with it.

Speaker B

You can use an XLR cable which is a 3 pin XLR which has to go to some kind of an audio device, an audio mixer as, as it were.

Speaker B

It also goes, it has a cable that goes directly via USB into your computer.

Speaker B

It also let you hook your headsets up to that.

Speaker B

Now today, because I'm recording on my MacBook Air, I'm using my AirPods Pro now the AirPods Pro 3, they're the earbuds, you know, so and they're great.

Speaker B

But I just wanted you to know there is a difference in recording area and in recording microphone.

Speaker B

So I want to hear the difference because I forgotten what the kids sampling Q2U sounded like.

Speaker B

Also folks, if you know somebody who doesn't know what a podcast is, doesn't know how to find it, doesn't know anything about them, do me a favor, show them for me, grab their phone for them, put it on the podcast.

Speaker B

Use five minutes with gray haired Dave as the example, okay?

Speaker B

Just go ahead and do it.

Speaker B

Also folks, if you're out and about today and you see somebody you don't know, or even somebody you do, make sure you wave, smile, maybe even say hi.

Speaker B

You're going to make their day at Woodpoint.

Speaker B

Turn, turn around and make your day.

Speaker B

So on behalf of Gray Hair Dave in the Gray Hair production vehicle, you all have a great week and I will talk to you soon.

Speaker B

Bye bye.

Speaker B

Sa.
