Welcome to five Minutes with Grey Hair Dave.
Speaker AHe has grey hair.
Speaker AHe has a grey beard and he wears glasses like the guy in the artwork.
Speaker AOh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking.
Speaker ANow here is gray Hair day.
Speaker BWell, well, well, folks.
Speaker BWhat did you think of that elevenlabs IO intro, if you remember.
Speaker BRight, I told you that I enjoy having my intros be pretty much the same all the time.
Speaker BIt's going to be the same words.
Speaker BIt just may be a different announcer.
Speaker BAnd I get Those voices from 11 labs IO now I say that in the beginning because I want you to know that that is an AI voice.
Speaker BThis is not an AI voice.
Speaker BThis is me.
Speaker BYep, that's me, Dave.
Speaker BGood old gray hair Dave.
Speaker BSo that's the great thing about eleven Labs is that it can give you all kinds of different things.
Speaker BThe one thing you got to remember is I'm not affiliated with 11 labs, at least not yet.
Speaker BI'm going to look into it and see if they've got a affiliate program.
Speaker BBut right now I'm not have.
Speaker BI don't have any affiliates, affiliate programs that I'm working when it comes to the things that are involved with this podcast.
Speaker BSo I hope everybody's doing great.
Speaker BIt's been a.
Speaker BIt's been a week here, been a different kind of a week.
Speaker BAnd we've.
Speaker BWe've had some rain here in Florida, which is always good and not always, but we were a little bit low on the rain, but it's not been terrible.
Speaker BBut we are getting.
Speaker BIs the Sahara sands.
Speaker BThe Sahara sand is making its way all the way over to the United States because of the.
Speaker BThe jet stream, the wind flow, all that kind of stuff.
Speaker BAnd it's just weird.
Speaker BI don't, I personally don't understand it.
Speaker BI don't understand what in the world's going on with that.
Speaker BAnd I firmly believe it's not my decision or my responsibility to know these things.
Speaker BAll I have to do is know that that's there and I don't like it.
Speaker BBut today it has.
Speaker BIt is keeping the rain chances down.
Speaker BSo that's cool.
Speaker BSo what else is going on in your life or my life here?
Speaker BOh, goodness.
Speaker BWhen it comes to the foot problems, we've.
Speaker BWe've gotten a little bit better.
Speaker BWe're out of the brace that I got originally from the doctor.
Speaker BNow I'm into a what is called an ankle stabilizing brace.
Speaker BSorry for that noise.
Speaker BThat was one.
Speaker BI had to read the name off the box.
Speaker BSo this one's a little easier on my foot and hopefully I get better soon with that.
Speaker BThat's going to help because I was having quite a bit of pain.
Speaker BBut when it comes to the work situations here at the, the Wonderful World of Disney, because you all know I keep talking about the mouse or this or that.
Speaker BI work for Disney.
Speaker BWe all know that I'm not back in my regular job back.
Speaker BI'm.
Speaker BI'm working for the light duty department.
Speaker BNow, that's not exactly what it's called, but basically that's what it is.
Speaker BLight duty.
Speaker BAin't nothing wrong with that.
Speaker BI get to keep working.
Speaker BI get out of the house three days a week because I'm part time.
Speaker BI meet some cool people, I get to talk with people.
Speaker BAnd I'm working in an office where I know most of the people in there because I've worked with them before when I was in scheduling.
Speaker BAnd I have to admit, it's a lot of fun.
Speaker BI enjoy it and not taxing, not hurting my foot any.
Speaker BSo we're good to go.
Speaker BBut I do get to see, you know, all the goings on underneath Magic Kingdom and, you know, and yeah, in Magic Kingdom, you know, you've all seen, I'm sure, the videos of the Utilidors and, and, and what was what it was when they built it and what it is today.
Speaker BBecause as you know, everybody knows Magic Kingdom, everything that you see is the second floor.
Speaker BEverything down on the util doors is the first floor.
Speaker BSo it had to build up to get the second floor.
Speaker BWhere'd they get all that dirt?
Speaker BSeven Seas Lagoon.
Speaker BWhich is why there's a lagoon there.
Speaker BMakes all kinds of sense, right?
Speaker BI tell you what, Disney had it, had it figured out.
Speaker BBut there are all kinds of fun and, and challenging changes coming here at the Magic Kingdom and Disney World as it is all the way around Today, which is June 7, is the last day for the Muppets 3D adventure.
Speaker BThey're tearing that down or they're renovating it to make it something else.
Speaker BI don't remember exactly what that is, but they are.
Speaker BSo today is the last day of that.
Speaker BNow, it's not the end of the Muppets.
Speaker BIt's just that they're going to move over to what used to be called, still is called Rock and Roller Coaster now.
Speaker BI stopped riding roller coasters a few years ago and I may have to take it back up just to see what that one looked like.
Speaker BYou know, I just, I don't know.
Speaker BThe Muppets in a roller coaster.
Speaker BThat could be fun.
Speaker BThe Liberty Bell ship, ship boat that travels around Tom Sawyer's island here at Magic Kingdom is going to go away to make room for the new Cars Land.
Speaker BNow Walt said change is inevitable and we need to embrace it.
Speaker BIt's a changing world.
Speaker BIt needs to be a changing Disney World.
Speaker BHe felt that he, he embraced that he loved to change.
Speaker BI like change very little.
Speaker BI do like.
Speaker BIt doesn't bother.
Speaker BIt bothers me sometimes.
Speaker BBut eventually it's fall for the good.
Speaker BI hated when they shut down the great movie ride at Hollywood Studios just to make Minnie and Mickey's Runaway Railroad.
Speaker BThat's cool though.
Speaker BI still haven't been on that.
Speaker BBut it'll be something different.
Speaker BIt's going to evolve because you've got to bring in new people.
Speaker BHere in Orlando, Universal Studios just opened up the Epic Adventure and it's four lands all in one.
Speaker BAnd it's been the big news coming for a long time.
Speaker BAnd now that it's here is pretty popular and it's pretty packed.
Speaker BI have talked to a couple people who have been there and they say it's fantastic.
Speaker BAnd I would expect nothing else out of Universal or Disney.
Speaker BSo that's, that's all I'm saying.
Speaker BAnd we got to keep up and things and times are changing.
Speaker BPeople have seen all this over and over and over and over and over again.
Speaker BEvery time they come, it's the same thing.
Speaker BWell, you've got those that think that there's not should be nothing but the same thing.
Speaker BThat's why I come.
Speaker BI come because this is what I expect.
Speaker BBut then you've got those that say, can we have something new?
Speaker BYou look at the people who are the roller coaster fanatics and I don't know if I'm calling them the right name, but that's the only name I can think of at this moment.
Speaker BBut they're enthusiasts, they really love roller coasters and they can't wait for the newest one.
Speaker BAnd that's why places like Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio keep bringing on new roller coasters and fading away the older ones.
Speaker BAnd I think that it's the same kind of a concept here.
Speaker BYes, we are for children.
Speaker BYou know, it's based upon a child's dream and a child's world here at Disney.
Speaker BBut it's also for the adults.
Speaker BYou've got to make the adults just as happy as the kids.
Speaker BSo, you know, and today's kids aren't watching the Daniel Boone's or our shows like that or Lassie or things like that anymore.
Speaker BThey're watching other stuff that's, that's out and available now.
Speaker BYou couldn't, you'd have to go to I think a Pluto TV to even find a Daniel Boone show.
Speaker BAnd I don't even know if you can find it there.
Speaker BI don't even know if you can find it on Disney plus, but I'm going to look updates to come.
Speaker BI may pop back in to this, this recording and, and edit it and let hey say hey by the way.
Speaker BBut just so you know, it's changing and it's a good thing.
Speaker BSo what else is going on in the world?
Speaker BElon and Donald Trump are at odds.
Speaker BI guess they finally the bromance is over.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI've gotten to the point folks, where I have just given up on politics.
Speaker BI haven't given up on the fact that it's there.
Speaker BI've given up on the fact that I got to keep up with it.
Speaker BYou got, it's just has gotten the lunacy.
Speaker BIt really, really has.
Speaker BAnd that's the way it works.

Speaker BWhether you're talking about golf, trains, aviation, baseball, football, whatever.
Speaker BYour hobby is pickleball.
Speaker BI mean, I'm sure there's a hundred different podcasts on pickleball, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one too, because your opinions and views and talking about it might be completely different than somebody else's and you might resonate with people.
