Well, well, well.
Speaker AWelcome back, folks.
Speaker AYes, indeed.
Speaker AWelcome back to another fine episode of five Minutes with Gray Hair Day.
Speaker AYep, the.
Speaker AThe intro from 11 Labs again did the fine job.
Speaker AI've been playing with it a little bit today, and I wanted to try something a little bit different.
Speaker ASo I hope you like that one.
Speaker AI hope you're all doing well.
Speaker AIt's been a great week here in Florida, or especially where I am.
Speaker AWeather's been in the 80s, almost 90.
Speaker ANo rain.
Speaker AOf course, we've got a little bit of a drought going on here in Florida, but that's not too bad.
Speaker AI'm.
Speaker AI love this type of weather.
Speaker ANow, I talked to my brother the other day, and he don't like my kind of weather.
Speaker AHe likes the Michigan weather.
Speaker AAnd I would assume my other brother does too, because he stays.
Speaker ABut they hate.
Speaker AThey may hate it at times, but they love living where they're at.
Speaker AAnd there's nothing wrong with that, is there?
Speaker AI love living where I'm at.
Speaker ANot a lot going on here in.
Speaker AIn Gray Hair production land.
Speaker AJust, you know, I went out to dinner the other night with a couple of great friends who bought me birthday dinner, which was fantastic.
Speaker AWas nice to celebrate with friends.
Speaker AI'm not big on celebrating.
Speaker AI'm not big on receiving gifts or.
Speaker AOr those type of things.
Speaker AI'm more of a person who likes to give when I can, and I.
Speaker AI accept it a little bit better than I used to.
Speaker ABut, you know, it's one of those things where if it's not what you're used to, it's not what you're used to.
Speaker ASo we had a nice evening.
Speaker AI came home and.
Speaker AAnd we had a nice evening here.
Speaker AAnd then.
Speaker AAnd then the next day, you know, back to life.
Speaker ASo I just wanted to let you know about that.
Speaker AI wanted to also talk today a little bit about.
Speaker ABecause we're going to change subjects now.
Speaker AI want to talk about what.
Speaker AWhat's happening soon around us, around me, around you, maybe.
Speaker AWe've got the unfortunate, untimely death of Pope Francis.
Speaker AThat.
Speaker AThat shocked me.
Speaker AAnd if I'm not mistaken, he died on my birthday or the day before.
Speaker ALet's see.
Speaker ABut it.
Speaker AI'm not Catholic and I'm an Episcopalian.
Speaker AI'm a.
Speaker AWhatever Catholic light.
Speaker AMy brother calls it Catholic light.
Speaker AI love that.
Speaker ABut I do and always have respected.
Speaker ARespect or respected the Pope.
Speaker AAnd I like listening to them.
Speaker AGranted, most times it had to be translated.
Speaker ABut these guys, these.
Speaker AThese fine men who become the Pope, these.
Speaker AThese great men of God who are there to guide the Catholic Church and their congregation do a huge service.
Speaker AAnd they're always there.
Speaker AThey're always on, as it were.
Speaker AAnd that takes a lot.
Speaker AIt's like being president forever, you know, or until you die.
Speaker AAnd it's sad because they always end up passing away while in service.
Speaker AIt seems like they don't have time, and maybe they don't want to.
Speaker ATo enjoy any form of retirement now.
Speaker AMaybe there have been some who have, and I don't know because I don't pay as much attention as I should.
Speaker ABut, you know, I think that they deserve a little.
Speaker ALittle restroom relaxation, too.
Speaker AIt's got to be a.
Speaker AIt's got to be a.
Speaker AI was going to say burden, and I.
Speaker AI wanted to.
Speaker AI don't want to put that out there.
Speaker AI don't think that having to be the Pope would be a burden.
Speaker AI think it would be a blessing.
Speaker ABut I also think that it's a lot of work.
Speaker AAgain, this is from a person who's not Catholic.
Speaker AIf I have said something that offends you, you have my utmost apologies.
Speaker AI mean no disrespect.
Speaker AI'm very, very in awe of the Pope.
Speaker ANow, with that being said, it comes time for the.
Speaker AThe burial, which was happening today, because I'm recording on Saturday, or the funeral.
Speaker AAnd then they go into the conclave, I think it's called, where they decide the next pope, which is pretty cool.
Speaker AIt is.
Speaker AAnd this is the thing that I think is cool.
Speaker AAnd some people will say that they think this is not.
Speaker AThis is antiquated.
Speaker AThese guys go into these cardinals or bishops.
Speaker AI think it's cardinals, anyways.
Speaker AThese guys go into a.
Speaker AA building and they stay there until they decide who it's going to be.
Speaker ACould take days.
Speaker ADoesn't seem to, but it could take days.
Speaker AAnd they don't leave until they've made a decision.
Speaker AAnd then they.
Speaker AThey send out the smoke that lets the world know the next pope has been chosen.
Speaker AThat, too, has to be an immense amount of pressure on those fine guys.
Speaker AIt really, really does.
Speaker AYou think about it.
Speaker AChoose the next.
Speaker AIt's just these guys.
Speaker AAnd this isn't about politics.
Speaker AThis is about reality, about life, about everything.
Speaker ASo, you know, good luck to those folks.
Speaker ALet's move on to the next subject that's maybe, hopefully, hopefully a little cheerier.
Speaker AIn other world news, there's been a lot going on, but there hasn't.
Speaker AThere's.
Speaker AI mean, it's.
Speaker AThe world is going a little wacko, but it's.
Speaker AIt's Always going a little wacko, isn't it?
Speaker AI look at life around here and of course the world is revolving around Universal Studios and Disney World right now and Universal's epic, epic universe getting ready to open.
Speaker AAnd that in itself is cool.
Speaker ASo now I hear it's got four four lands and it's going to be a lot of fun.
Speaker AI understand.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AI.
Speaker AYou know, folks, I've lived in Florida for going on, well, being 19 years next year.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker A19 years.
Speaker A19 years in May I moved down here.
Speaker AWow, that's a long time.
Speaker ABut anyways, in all that time, I have never been in Universal Park.
Speaker AThey have an area a lot like Disney does with their Disney Springs.
Speaker AThey have an area called CityWalk.
Speaker ANow I've been there numerous times, probably not in the last 10 years, but I just, I'm not a roller coaster person anymore, folks.
Speaker AI'm just not.
Speaker AI, I'm in my 60s now.
Speaker AI'm not.
Speaker ANot big on roller coasters.
Speaker AOkay?
Speaker ABut I hear it's going to be great for those people who do roller coasters and all these other things.
Speaker AIt's exciting times.
Speaker AAnd I think it opens up next month.
Speaker AGonna be fun to watch.
Speaker ASo now it's Disney does something, Universal does something.
Speaker ASo now it'll be time for Disney to do something.
Speaker ADisney's already got the plans and they're already starting to do things.
Speaker ASo it's this constant back and forth between those two.
Speaker AAnd then you've got little SeaWorld there.
Speaker AAnd don't get me wrong, SeaWorld's not little.
Speaker AI used to have a annual pass to Sea World and I, I miss it.
Speaker AI miss not having it.
Speaker AThat is a.
Speaker AIt's a park that has coasters.
Speaker AIt's got sea animals and sea life and the greatest aquariums in the world.
Speaker AAnd for me, it's a relaxing park.
Speaker AI can go there, walk around, see a show, see a dolphin show, see a whale show, go see the penguins, all those fun things.
Speaker AAnd then, you know, if I wanted to go ride a coaster, I could.
Speaker AThey also have concert series.
Speaker AThey all have concert series going on.
Speaker ASo it's.
Speaker AI actually enjoy that part much more because it is more laid back.
Speaker AAnd that's what I want in life is a more laid back experience where I can go and I can enjoy myself without being inundated with just roller coaster, roller coaster, roller coaster, roller coaster, ride, ride, ride, ride, ride.
Speaker AYou know what I'm saying?
Speaker AAnd I'm sure that that's part of partly my age, but.
Speaker AAnd I'M sure somewhere you're going to say, oh, Dave, you're just acting old.
Speaker AMaybe, maybe I am.
Speaker ABut I know what I enjoy now and that's what I'm going to be doing.
Speaker ASo that's what that is.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker AThat's the life going on here down in Florida.
