Welcome to five Minutes with Grey Hair Dave.
Speaker AHe has grey hair.
Speaker AHe has a grey beard.
Speaker AHe wears glasses like the guy in the artwork.
Speaker AOh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking.
Speaker ANow here is Grey Hair Dave.
Speaker BWell, well, well, folks, what did you think of that introduction from 11 labs?
Speaker B11 labs IO.
Speaker BThey are the ones who do my intro every week.
Speaker BI hope you enjoy it.
Speaker BI like going in there and playing with it and adding new words or different voices just to see what's available.
Speaker BAnd there's so many things that I don't use with 11 labs.
Speaker BIt's a.
Speaker BIt's a artificial intelligence, folks.
Speaker BIt's nothing to be afraid of.
Speaker BGo try it.
Speaker BIt's a lot of fun.
Speaker BAlso, I have to let you know this.
Speaker BI am an affiliate of 11 Labs IO, so if you use my link in the show notes, I'll get paid a little bit.
Speaker BYou know, maybe.
Speaker BMaybe if one or two of you decide to use it, I will get mine for free.
Speaker BWho knows, you know?
Speaker BBut if you're.
Speaker BIf you're doing these kinds of things, this is a lot of fun.
Speaker BSo what else is going on?
Speaker BThere's been a lot of activities going on in the world which are very, very disheartening.
Speaker BAnd last night, some.
Speaker BI don't know what to call this guy.
Speaker BThere's a gentleman who drove from Las Vegas to New York City, went into the same building that houses the.
Speaker BThe NFL, the corporate offices, and shot four people, including a cop, dead.
Speaker BI mean, first of all, I don't understand what possesses people to do that.
Speaker BThat boggles my mind.
Speaker BSomething got to be wackadoodle up in the brain.
Speaker BI think we can all agree to that, can't we?
Speaker BYou know, I don't know what else to say about that.
Speaker BIt saddens me.
Speaker BIt just.
Speaker BJust saddens me.
Speaker BThere's been a lot going on in the last few weeks, and it's all over the world.
Speaker BAll over the world.
Speaker BAnd I don't know what to think about it anymore.
Speaker BYou know, I know that I'm not as involved in world politics or involved is the wrong word.
Speaker BLet's go with I am not as up to date about politics as I used to be because I did care.
Speaker BI did care.
Speaker BBut all this dumbass stuff that's going on, excuse my language, I just don't know what to think.
Speaker BAnd I.
Speaker BAnd I know that you, my listeners, my loyal listeners probably are agreeing with me.
Speaker BI don't know what to think of this either.
Speaker BIt's just something weird.
Speaker BLet me get off of that.
Speaker BLet me change the subject.
Speaker BLet's get on to something fun.
Speaker BWell, I don't know if I'd call it fun anymore.
Speaker BI mean, I live in central Florida and the whole eastern United States has been in a heat wave.
Speaker BIn fact, most of the eastern half of the United States has been in a heat wave for a couple weeks.
Speaker BBut our feel like temperature last night around 5, I think was 110, because you get much more.
Speaker BYou can, you know, if you went outside yesterday afternoon and dropped an egg, it would fry.
Speaker BIf you dropped it on the cement, it would fry.
Speaker BIt's just that hot down here.
Speaker BAnd there's been no breeze, hardly at all.
Speaker BWe did have a thunderstorm come through last afternoon.
Speaker BLast afternoon.
Speaker BThere you go, Dave.
Speaker BYesterday afternoon.
Speaker BI'm going to leave that in because I think it's funny for you guys to hear my mistakes.
Speaker BNot all of them, but it came through and it did cool it down a tad bit.
Speaker BBut not a whole lot, you know, not enough to make a big, huge difference.
Speaker BAnd it's just other than that, that was about the only time during the day there was any breeze even, you know, even if there was a breeze coming in, you'd feel or hear something.
Speaker BBut no, no, that didn't happen.
Speaker BThat didn't happen.
Speaker BIt's just been that way.
Speaker BAnd I feel for all those construction workers or anybody.
Speaker BI have many, many, many, many friends who work outside at Disney parking in the park.
Speaker BMy friends over at Skyliner, you know, they're outside all day long.
Speaker BGranted, at least for the majority of the time, they are covered.
Speaker BThere is a root structure over the top of them.
Speaker BBut still, my goodness, I mean, it's still 95, 96 actual degrees.
Speaker BI think yesterday it got to 90, 98.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI got in my car to go to the grocery store and it had cooled the car down after I drove with the air conditioner on for a while.
Speaker BAnd when I came back out to get in it to go back home, you know, the thermostat on my car still said it was 102.
Speaker BIt's like, it's just, it's.
Speaker BIt's weird.
Speaker BI don't know what's going on with the weather lately, but I am not, I'm not a weather forecaster.
Speaker BI am also not the guy who creates all this stuff.
Speaker BSo there's a reason.
Speaker BI'm sure there's a reason for it all, Everything.
Speaker BSo I'm sure he has a plan.
Speaker BI'm sure he'd like to tell you about it if you let him.
Speaker BSo what else is going on?
Speaker BLet me change subjects here around the house.
Speaker BWell, you know, not much.
Speaker BStill working light duty.
Speaker BI'm still plugging away at that.
Speaker BGoing to physical therapy, letting them beat the living cajivers out of me.
Speaker BAnd I can't, I can't say they do that very badly anymore.
Speaker BI can't say they do it extremely, very badly.
Speaker BThat didn't even sound right.
Speaker BI can't say that they're beating me up too much anymore.
Speaker BHow about that?
Speaker BOkay, it's.
Speaker BYou guys don't need to hear all my thinking on this.
Speaker BBut that's, that's basically where I'm coming at from.
Speaker BSo they push me harder each time to help me improve.
Speaker BWhich, let's be honest, that's what physical therapy is all about, isn't it?
Speaker BTo help get you back to normal.
Speaker BI am not a believer in no pain, no gain.
Speaker BBut there are days I come home from that and go, oh, I hope I feel better for that.
Speaker BBut when the therapist tells you you're going to feel that tonight, I almost always do.
Speaker BSo, you know, I believe them.
Speaker BThey know what they're talking about.
Speaker BThey've gone through schooling for that.
Speaker BThey've done all their due diligence and they've learned and I haven't.
Speaker BThat's not my job, that's theirs.
Speaker BI'm glad they're there.
Speaker BAnd for those of you who are listening, you are some of the best the physical therapists I've ever been to.
Speaker BSo with that being said, let's move on to the next subject.
Speaker BWe're going to talk a little bit about gray hair Dave and what's next for gray hair Dave?
Speaker BI don't want to get too deep in the woods here, but I'm looking for that kick in the, in the behind and I think I got it yesterday about 1 o' clock in the morning.
Speaker BWell, that would have been today.
Speaker BI think somebody upstairs woke me up and said, think about this.
Speaker BDoes that ever happen to you?
Speaker BThink about this or something will pop into your head and you can't get back to sleep.
Speaker BWell, that was me until about 3:00' clock this morning.
Speaker BSo I'm over writing things down about what I want to do.
Speaker BAnd then I stood up and I, I paced for a little bit and then I went back to bed finally.
Speaker BAnd then I turned the computer back on, which I should Never do at 2 o' clock in the morning, but I did.
Speaker BAnd I looked up a couple of things and I'm ready to get started at it.
Speaker BAnd we're going to tell you about that in the future episodes in the coming weeks, what's going to happen.
Speaker BAnd it has to do with something I've talked about before, but it's focus.
Speaker BI have got to learn to focus better.
Speaker BAnd the reason I say that is because I have all these great ideas and then all of a sudden I have shiny object syndrome.
Speaker BOh, look over here.
Speaker BOh, look over there.
Speaker BI'm like, I'm like the squirrel who all of a sudden sees a nut over here.
Speaker BA nut over there, A nut over there.
Speaker BYeah, I'm just.
Speaker BI had pinball some days.
Speaker BSo I've decided to, to use John Lee Dumas's theory on this.
Speaker BFinish one thing first right now.
Speaker BThat doesn't mean three or four things can't be done at the same time, but get one done, get it out, get, get moving on it.
Speaker BAnd I got a new strategy for.
Speaker BThat's not a strategy.
Speaker BIt's a new idea for me for getting things out into social media.
Speaker BAnd I'm.
Speaker BAnd I'm hoping you look forward to it.
Speaker BWe're going to do a little bit of videos on it.
Speaker BWe're going to put them on, on YouTube, we're going to put them on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, wherever we can.
Speaker BJust short little videos about what's coming up, what's going on and what's happening in the podcasting industry that I see.
Speaker BAnd I listen to a lot of podcasts on podcasting folks, and there's a lot going on and that you should have fun with it and learn with it.

Speaker BI'm not selling your email addresses.
Speaker BI don't want to do that.
Speaker BI don't have enough email addresses to sell.
Speaker BLet's be honest with it.
Speaker BBut I'm selfish.
Speaker BI don't.
Speaker BYou are my listeners.

Speaker BI mean, it's simple.
Speaker BI'm asking you to do something.
Speaker BWhy not help me out in the long run?
Speaker BI'm a nice guy and I love having you folks with me.
Speaker BHere's the last thing for you folks.
Speaker BSame thing I say every day.
Speaker BIf you see somebody you don't know today while you're out and about, smile at them.
Speaker BYou're going to make their day, which will in turn make your day a great day.
Speaker BSo on behalf of all the although the wackadoodles up in my head and my tired little head today, you all have a great day.
Speaker BI'll talk to you soon.
Speaker BBye bye.
