Speaker BJust a few quick things to talk about today.
Speaker BDon't know where the voice went.
Speaker BIt was here a while ago, so it's.
Speaker BIt's around.
Speaker BBut we'll play with it in post and get it back.
Speaker BWe are doing video today, so there's that.
Speaker BExcuse me, I'm gonna take a little drink.
Speaker BMaybe that'll help my voice.
Speaker BYeah, probably not.
Speaker BBut anyway, we are doing video today, so I just wanted you to know about that.
Speaker BLet's see what's going on in the world.
Speaker BHow about this?
Speaker BLet's start with what's going on in my world.
Speaker BWell, if you have been paying attention, you will notice that I've trimmed my beard about 2 inches.
Speaker BCame off all the way around.
Speaker BNow, I didn't trim anything off the mustache because the mustache, I always keep that trimmed.
Speaker BI don't like having hair in my food when I eat.
Speaker BSo, you know, I.
Speaker BBut I did.
Speaker BI. I was.
Speaker BI looked at it when I got up and I go, man, you just look like a homeless bum.
Speaker BAnd I couldn't take that anymore.
Speaker BSo hopefully it'll start growing in fuller again, which is what I wanted to do.
Speaker BAlso, folks probably due for a haircut, but who knows?
Speaker BNow, on the.
Speaker BOn the foot issue, as you all remember, I had surgery back in January on my foot to repair a tendon and a ligament.
Speaker BWell, that's going along just fine, but there's still more pain there than the doctor likes.
Speaker BSo she's changed my restrictions to put them on a more permanent basis now.
Speaker BDon't know what Disney's gonna do with that yet, but we're gonna find out here shortly.
Speaker BHopefully I can find a place to go where I can enjoy myself until I decide to retire.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI'm hoping, okay, because I don't want to work someplace I don't want to work.
Speaker BBut I know that I can't go back to Skyliner where I was.
Speaker BIt would be just Too uncomfortable.
Speaker BBy the end of the day, I'd be miserable.
Speaker BAnd nobody, nobody really wants to work that way.
Speaker BNow, I know that I don't.
Speaker BSo that's what's going on on that front.
Speaker BWhat else is going on?
Speaker BLet's see.
Speaker BWell, we're going to change subjects now.
Speaker BWe're going to get off gray hair Dave, and we're going to go to politics.
Speaker BYou ought to like this.
Speaker BSo the US Government is back open, right?
Speaker BAnd I think that you all know that's a good thing.
Speaker BNow government agencies can start working again and people can get back to work.
Speaker BAir traffic control is starting to get back closer to normal.
Speaker BSo hopefully by the end of the weekend, things will be better.
Speaker BBecause next week for, for the U.S. as you all know, is Thanksgiving.
Speaker BAnd it's a big travel week.
Speaker BIt's a very, very big travel week.
Speaker BNow, I personally think that the numbers at Disney, where I work, and even, I'm sure Universal for the last couple of weeks have been down because of air traffic control issues and flight cancellations and all those kinds of things.
Speaker BI can't say because I don't.
Speaker BI'm not privy to all that information, but I'm pretty positive they've been down.
Speaker BNow, how much I don't know.
Speaker BBut, you know, they're there.
Speaker BBut thank God those guys got off their duffs and did it.
Speaker BNow, I'm not here to talk to you about one side or the other.
Speaker BI'm just glad both sides decided it's over.
Speaker BThis has to stop.
Speaker BWe are now hurting America.
Speaker BYou know what else?
Speaker BWe were becoming the joke of the world.
Speaker BWe really are.
Speaker BBecause a lot of this had to do with the fact that Donald Trump was elected president.
Speaker BAnd some people get hurt feelings over that because they don't like him.
Speaker BOkay, does that mean we shut the government down and, and not pay government employees and not pay, you know, air traffic controllers or give out SNAP benefits, which a lot of people really, really need it.
Speaker BJust because you can get SNAP benefits doesn't mean you don't deserve them.
Speaker BNow, I'm sure there are some people out there on SNAP benefits who don't deserve them, who are gaming the system.
Speaker BThat's everywhere.
Speaker BYou're going to find a little bit of that everywhere.
Speaker BBut I don't look at life that way anymore.
Speaker BI don't.
Speaker BI can't.
Speaker BI can't be that cynical all the time.
Speaker BIt's exhausting.
Speaker BYou know, just like talking about politics all the time is exhausting.
Speaker BOh, my gosh.
Speaker BCan't do it.
Speaker BCan't do it.
Speaker BCan't do it.
Speaker BSo that's enough of politics, don't you think?
Speaker BI do.
Speaker BWhat else is going on?
Speaker BWell, my big brother's coming down to visit isn't his daughter in a week or so and get to see him again.
Speaker BI'm happy to see him.
Speaker BHe is getting out and about in the world and he's.
Speaker BHe's more the homebody of the three of us.
Speaker BHe's.
Speaker BHe's the poet.
Speaker BOkay, One's a poet, one's like.
Speaker BOne's the accountant.
Speaker BAnd then there's me, who nobody really knows what I am, but I am what I am and I is what he is.
Speaker BAnd that's just the way it is.
Speaker BI had numerous jobs in my life.
Speaker BI am the wanderer, I guess you could say.
Speaker BI am also the guy who does not mind being up in front of people, talking, doesn't mind being in front of audiences, being behind a microphone.
Speaker BThere's lots of careers I probably should have looked into when I was younger and didn't have the courage to do it because I was afraid to fail.
Speaker BDoesn't matter if I fail now, if I fail now, I just start over with something else, right?
Speaker BThat is absolutely fine in my mind.
Speaker BBut I'm not looking to fail.
Speaker BOkay, I am not looking to fail.
Speaker BBut podcasting is something that I have.
