Speaker A

Welcome to Five Minutes with Gray Hair Dave.

Speaker A

He has gray hair and he has a gray beard and he also wears glasses like the guy in the artwork.

Speaker A

Oh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking now, tariff free.

Speaker A

Here is Gray Hair Dave.

Speaker B

Well, folks, that was elevenlabs IO.

Speaker B

They are the ones I use for my intro all the time.

Speaker B

I've been using that one for over a month.

Speaker B

I like it and I'm going to keep it.

Speaker B

I mean, I paid for it, why not, right?

Speaker B

How are you?

Speaker B

Hope you're doing good.

Speaker B

And welcome back to another episode of Five Minutes with Gray Haired Dave.

Speaker B

What are we talking about today?

Speaker B

Well, let's get the unimportant things out of the way.

Speaker B

Little rainy today, which we needed.

Speaker B

We're in a drought.

Speaker B

Using air quotes there and here in Central Florida.

Speaker B

We didn't make it all up today, but within the next couple days I think we will.

Speaker B

What else is going on?

Speaker B

Well, work is work.

Speaker B

It is what it is.

Speaker B

The Gray Hair Dave project I have put on pause for the next week.

Speaker B

I put it on pause last week.

Speaker B

I put it on pause for this week because I need to rethink a couple of things.

Speaker B

And I know there are those of you out there going to say, Dave, why are you rethinking this?

Speaker B

But I need to adjust my thinking on a couple of the ideas that I'm going with.

Speaker B

Some of the programs that I've been using for, for making the product that I want to show people have not given me problems but aren't looking exactly how I want it to look.

Speaker B

And I want this to look professional.

Speaker B

I believe that if I'm coming to you wanting to sell you something or give you an opportunity to use my products or my services, that it should look professional.

Speaker B

And I'm almost there.

Speaker B

The tweaking I have in my mind now can now go onto paper or into the computer.

Speaker B

So that should take me the rest of the week and then I'm going to get started on the Gray Hair project now or the Gray Hair Dave project.

Speaker B

I'm sorry.

Speaker B

Now something that we've been talking a lot about, which I am changing subject.

Speaker B

Yes, I raised my hand, but you couldn't see me.

Speaker B

We've been talking a lot about AI and about how much I use Perplexity AI Again, I use it as an assistant and it has some great ideas for me.

Speaker B

It's come up with some good things.

Speaker B

It's come up with some things I haven't used, but it came up with a. I asked it to build me a Customer relationship management program called a CRM.

Speaker B

If you've been in any kind of a business, you've.

Speaker B

You've seen it or heard it.

Speaker B

And basically, it's for those of you who don't know what it is, and I doubt that there are very many who don't.

Speaker B

It's like an email on steroids.

Speaker B

It tracks who you're talking to, attracts when your next conversation needs to be.

Speaker B

You can put all those kinds of parameters in there.

Speaker B

And Perplexity did a wonderful job, but it was more of me putting in a contact building and put in another contact build that.

Speaker B

And it was just more than I wanted to be playing with.

Speaker B

So I thought to myself, well, let's just see what a couple other AIs can do for me.

Speaker B

So I went to chat GPT.

Speaker B

Good old chat GPT.

Speaker B

I'd like to say in this again, here's the air quotes, the original, but I don't know if it is or is not, but it's a great one.

Speaker B

I love it.

Speaker B

And what they came up with was pretty good, but again, it involved more design than I'm.

Speaker B

Excuse me, more design than I'm comfortable with right now.

Speaker B

So I said, okay, let's try Claude.

Speaker B

I've been using Claude here and there, and Claude AI is more of a.

Speaker B

In my mind, and don't get me wrong here, folks, I could be wrong, but in my mind, Claude is more of a coding or a building AI.

Speaker B

So I went to Claude and I said, hey, this is the project I'm working on.

Speaker B

These are the things I want to track.

Speaker B

And I'd like you to build me a CRM to do this so that it's all in one place.

Speaker B

I'm not in an Excel file here or a Word doc here, or, you know, here, here a thing, there a thing, and we're a thing thing.

Speaker B

I don't know if you remember that song, but anyways.

Speaker B

And I, I put it in there.

Speaker B

And within two minutes, folks.

Speaker B

Two minutes.

Speaker B

And I did this on my iPad in two minutes.

Speaker B

It came up with a great CRM, including colors I liked, and it had.

Speaker B

I. I also told it what I wanted to track.

Speaker B

I want to track name of the person I need to contact, company name, where it is, you know, address, email address of the contact, have I contacted them yet, what's the next contact, and so on.

Speaker B

And like I said, within two minutes, it had built this thing for me.

Speaker B

And on my iPad, I went ahead and I looked at it.

Speaker B

Excuse me, I'm fighting off something going on.

Speaker B

It's pollen probably.

Speaker B

So I looked at this and I go, what?

Speaker B

This is pretty darn good.

Speaker B

And I said, okay, so how can I.

Speaker B

This is what I typed in.

Speaker B

Basically, I love what you've done.

Speaker B

Now what I need to know from you is how do I make this so that I can use it on my iPad, my iPhone, and on my Mac mini and my MacBook Pro or my MacBook Air.

Speaker B

And about a half a minute later, came up with, came up with everything I needed to do.

Speaker B

I am so impressed with Claude.

Speaker B

I really am.

Speaker B

Now I realize that Claude is a whole lot bigger than what I use it for.

Speaker B

The government uses it because there was a thing that, that the president said something about.

Speaker B

They were done with Anthropic, who is basically the owner of Claude.

Speaker B

Well, Claude also has.

Speaker B

There's Claude.

Speaker B

There's Claude code.

Speaker B

There's Claude coworker.

Speaker B

Well, I'm looking into what Claude coworker is now because I think that it could be a useful assistant for me.

Speaker B

I keep hearing about agentive AI, which is basically an AI agent to do the things you don't want to do.

Speaker B

So it would respond to emails, looking at the past emails I've used or I have sent or the replies that I have sent.

Speaker B

And it would send it for me once I approved, does all kinds of things like that.

Speaker B

It would look up all the research I'm looking for, categorize it.

Speaker B

It would do all the, the, all the re.

Speaker B

Again, I, I don't know how else to describe it, but I want to look deeper into this and I'm going to give you a, a, a more detailed response next week on what I think of.

Speaker B

Of now.

Speaker B

There's a lot of talk out there about vibe coding right now, and I don't think that I am qualified yet to talk about vibe coding, but I'm working on it.

Speaker B

So AI has been a big part of my life for the past couple months and you all know that.

Speaker B

And I think that's part of the reason I'm growing in Europe is because I'm talking more and more about AI and how to use it in my daily life.

Speaker B

Now if a friend of mine, her dog got sick and she went to ChatGPT to ask it about all kinds of questions and she put in exactly what was going on with the dog and it came back with really good answers.

Speaker B

These are the types of things that AI should be used for.

Speaker B

Now I'm a big believer in AI and I like magi too, because MAGI gives you the opportunity to go to Three or four different AI versions within that.

Speaker B

And I think I said I was going to check out.

Speaker B

I have Slack for communicating with team members, which I don't really have a lot of team members right now because it's just me.

Speaker B

But you can communicate with others and other businesses through Slack.

Speaker B

But Claude is in Slack.

Speaker B

There's a plugin for Claude in AI which I'm going to use, and I'm wondering if it's.

Speaker B

And this is something I'll tell you about next week, too.

Speaker B

I'm wondering if it's the same version of Claude that I've been using on my Mac Mini or on my iPad.

Speaker B

You know, is it the same thing?

Speaker B

Am I, can I, can I go back to the conversations or the, the chats that I've been having with Claude through Slack?

Speaker B

And who knows, maybe it'll work.

Speaker B

Good, we'll find out.

Speaker B

We really will.

Speaker B

Now, the one thing I will tell you, and there's a lot of this out there, people are worried about AI taking over their jobs and there are a lot of AI podcasts out there that some are okay, some are not.

Speaker B

I don't want to give, I don't want to be judgy about it, but if you think that it's no good to be a podcaster anymore because AI is going to take over that, you're wrong.

Speaker B

We still need you to podcast.

Speaker B

Now, if that's something you've ever thought about or considered or somebody you know has ever thought about or considered.

Speaker B

I want you to get a hold of me at five minutes with gray hairedave.com.

Speaker B

That's the number five minutes of gray hairdave.com.

Speaker B

You can either go to the Contact Me page or you can go to a little microphone in the bottom right hand corner.

Speaker B

Send me an email or send me a voicemail either way and let me know.

Speaker B

And I'd be happy to help you out if you're curious how to start one.

Speaker B

I've written a book.

Speaker B

I've talked about it numerous times.

Speaker B

I'm very proud of it.

Speaker B

It's the first book I've ever written.

Speaker B

I am not a professional writer, but I wrote it and then I ran it through Perplexity.

Speaker B

Perplexity gave me some suggestions.

Speaker B

I did those which I thought were good and I didn't do the ones I didn't think were good.

Speaker B

But it's then I had it go back through for of course for spell check, which you gotta admit, spell checking could have been done by myself.

Speaker B

And just the regular AI that's already in Apple.

Speaker B

But you know, I had them check it for me.

Speaker B

But if you're thinking about doing that, send me a message and I will send you four free a PDF copy of this book on how to start a podcast.

Speaker B

Okay?

Speaker B

It's not a big deal.

Speaker B

Just leave me your mess.

Speaker B

Leave your me your email because I can't email it to you if you don't give it to me and I can help you start a podcast.

Speaker B

I'm giving that to you for free.

Speaker B

Also folks, if you know someone who doesn't know what a podcast is, because POD podcast listenership is up, way up.

Speaker B

It's surpassing radio, it really is.

Speaker B

And listenership.

Speaker B

Do me a favor.

Speaker B

Show those folks that you have found that don't know what a podcast is.

Speaker B

Show them how to find what where it is on their phone, where it is on their computer, where it is on their iPads or their their any tablet that they have.

Speaker B

Amazon, Fire, whatever.

Speaker B

Show them how to find things.

Speaker B

Show them what the genres are.

Speaker B

Use me as an example.

Speaker B

Five minutes of Gray Hair Dave, I'm here all the time, so do me a favor.

Speaker B

Do that.

Speaker B

Show them for me, will you?

Speaker B

Also, here's the most important thing I'm going to say to you today while you're out and about.

Speaker B

Be nice to those people behind the cash registers.

Speaker B

Be nice to people you see walking by in a parking lot or anywhere.

Speaker B

Walk going on your walk for the day.

Speaker B

Smile and wave.

Speaker B

Say hello, you're going to make their day and they will in turn turn around and make yours.

Speaker B

So on Half a Gray Haired Dave here in Gray Hair Productions, I want you all to have a great week.

Speaker B

Also, I want you to say hi to somebody you don't know this week and let me know if that makes you feel happier.

Speaker B

So until next week, I will talk to you then.

Speaker B

Bye bye.
