Speaker AOh, and the guy in the artwork is better looking.
Speaker ANow here is gray Haired Dave.
Speaker BWell, well, well, folks.
Speaker BWelcome back.
Speaker BYep, it's me.
Speaker BIt's gray Hair Dave.
Speaker BI'm back again.
Speaker BHope you're all doing well.
Speaker BI really do.
Speaker BSometimes I like to say I hope you're doing good, but I hope you're doing good and well, or well and good.
Speaker BHow are you today?
Speaker BYou know, I've been.
Speaker BDid you hear that?
Speaker BDid you guys hear that?
Speaker BThat's the train whistle from Disney.
Speaker BIt's nice out right now because it rained earlier.
Speaker BIt cooled it off and I got my window open because now it's gorgeous outside.
Speaker BAnd that's one of the advantages to where I live.
Speaker BI get to hear the sounds sometimes the train.
Speaker BEvery once in a while I'll get to hear the, the boat whistles from the big boats over at the lagoon and Seven Seas Lagoon.
Speaker BAh, it's, it's so much fun.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker BYou know, I hear fireworks every night.
Speaker BI really, really do.
Speaker BLet's get back to the original opening.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BWhat did you think of 11 labs?
Speaker BI still, I still like it.
Speaker BI think it's so much fun and I get to go out there and play with it and have, and find new voices or maybe give it something new to say.
Speaker BBut not normally.
Speaker BNot normally, but I'm happy with it.
Speaker BIt's 11labs.IO look into it, see what you think.
Speaker BThey're not a sponsor.
Speaker BI'm just telling you this out of the goodness of my heart.
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker BSo I have a couple things I want to talk about today.
Speaker BNumber one.
Speaker BNumber one, and I am not Catholic and please don't hold that against me.
Speaker BI'm an Episcopalian and my brother tells me that Episcopalian is Catholic.
Speaker BLight kind of makes sense to me.
Speaker BBut I got to watch while I was at lunch them announce the new Pope, Pope Leo xiv.
Speaker BAnd he's an American out of Chicago area.
Speaker BHe grew up in Dalton, Illinois, which is just a suburb of Chicago, south of Chicago.
Speaker BI think that that is amazing because I never in my lifetime never thought that I would hear of a United States born Pope.
Speaker BI don't think many Americans did either, but it happened.
Speaker BMy gosh, what a great day.
Speaker BAnd again, like I said, I'm not Catholic, but I feel a little better today because I know the leadership is back in, you know, in the Catholic Church because it's been a couple weeks since the last Pope died.
Speaker BAnd it was, it was time.
Speaker BBut they have their specific ways, and I like the fact that they've got specific ways.
Speaker BIt's pretty cool to me.
Speaker BSo that was the first thing I wanted to talk.
Speaker BOh, God.
Speaker BThe pomp and circumstance that goes along with this.
Speaker BThis is the kind of thing that amazes me, too.
Speaker BI think it is so cool to watch these gorgeous, gorgeous ceremonies that have been handed down from decade for decades and decades and decades, and yet 90% of it is still used.
Speaker BYeah, they may change something here or there, but for the second day and then the white smoke comes out, I think that's a, it is something nobody else does except, you know, for the Pope.
Speaker BThat's so cool.
Speaker BAll right, let's go on to the next subject.
Speaker BAnd mainly, and I'm not, not trying to discriminate the women here, but I now know why women enjoy going to the beauty salon.
Speaker BYou know, they go, they get their hair done, they chat with their, their hairdresser, and it's just amazing.
Speaker BIt's a, they have a fun time, and it's usually an hour or two for them.
Speaker BWell, I have never been to a professional barber in Florida.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BI've been down here 19, almost 19 years.
Speaker BYou know what?
Speaker BIt'll be 19 years this year or this month.
Speaker BWow.
Speaker BBut anyways, I just, you know, I go to whoever good clips is, where I've been going.
Speaker BAnd no, they don't sponsor me either, but that's where I've been going, is good clips.
Speaker BAnd, you know, for the last six, seven months, I haven't been going at all.
Speaker BI've been trimming my beard, you know, just to, just to try and make it look better.
Speaker BBut the main reason I decided to go to, you know, a professional was that they do beards.
Speaker BThe haircut was good.
Speaker BI, I, I, I, I made some mistake.
Speaker BIt's, it's going to grow back.
Speaker BIt's going to grow back.
Speaker BBut he did a fine job.
Speaker BHe did exactly as we talked about, and it was great.
Speaker BHe had great conversations with him.
Speaker BAnd then he went to the beard.
Speaker BAnd my beard was about, oh, goodness, four inches long.
Speaker BFour, four, four, maybe five.
Speaker BAnd it was pretty symmetrical all the way around.
Speaker BFive inches right up to the ears.
Speaker BAnd he, he trimmed it properly, and we got it.
Speaker BHe made it look really, really good.
Speaker BAnd I'm happy with it.
Speaker BI'm really happy with that part of that.
Speaker BAnd then there was a hot towel.
Speaker BOh, my God, guys.
Speaker BI didn't know what I was missing.
Speaker BSeriously.
Speaker BI, I, that is such a cool, a cool, cool thing.
Speaker BYou know, of course, that was after a little bit of the shave with a straight razor.
Speaker BIt was such a close shave that I'm just now getting to the point where I might need to shave tomorrow, you know, around the beard.
Speaker BBut, you know, he also tightened up the beard to make it symmetrical.
Speaker BSo where it's, you know, one side's not a little higher than the other because just the natural growth.
Speaker BNobody's as perfect.
Speaker BYou have to work at it.
Speaker BYou see these, these movie stars and these models and social media people, you know, the influencers and their beards are so perfect.
Speaker BWell, 90% of those guys are not doing that themselves.
Speaker BAnd for those other 10% that are, wow, congratulations, that's good stuff.
Speaker BBut, you know, and then after we did that, you know, with a hot towel, he did a few more things with a beard, and then he was a cold towel, and, geez, it was just spectacular service that I've never had.
Speaker BWhen I went, I went to a barber when I was a kid, but this is a different kind of barbering.
Speaker BThis was just, oh, amazing.
Speaker BAnd if you, if you haven't tried it, guys, I can only tell you, you need to, you need to at least once.
Speaker BThere was a guy, he had come in while I was there.
Speaker BAnd, you know, he comes every two weeks because that's what he wants, Wants his hair to look a specific way.
Speaker BAnd yeah, it's vanity.
Speaker BIt is, folks.
Speaker BBut, you know, guys, we don't do that.
Speaker BAnd we were people my age.
Speaker BIt's not what we did.
Speaker BWe went, we got a haircut, and we went on.
Speaker BBut I'm just saying, that was a lot of fun, and I now understand why.
Speaker BMy mother every Saturday went to the salon.
Speaker BThey took care of her hair.
Speaker BShe was gone for a couple of hours.
Speaker BAnd, you know, it also is something to think about.
Speaker BIt was a couple hours away from everything.
Speaker BWork, the house, me, my dad, my brothers, everything else that went along with it.
Speaker BShe was able to walk away from it for two hours and just relax and be herself.
Speaker BI understand now, Mom.
Speaker BI do.
Speaker BAnd here in the United States this weekend, it's Mother's Day.
Speaker BI am, I am without my mother anymore.
Speaker BMy mom's up in heaven and along with my father.
Speaker BAnd on this Mother's Day, I really, really will miss you.
Speaker BNow, I went back to work this week.
Speaker BThat's why I got the haircut.
Speaker BI've been on light.
Speaker BI've been on no work duty for three and a half months now.
Speaker BI went back on, on light duty and I am working for one of the restaurants helping them with, you know, folding towel or folding napkins.
Speaker BAnd today a new project came up that they needed my little help with putting some boxes together.
Speaker BI was happy and excited to do it because it, I thought I was going to hate it.
Speaker BI hate going back to work.
Speaker BYou know, you don't do anything for three and a half months and you don't go to work.
Speaker BYou kind of get used to it.
Speaker BI thought, yeah, I'm going to hate this.
Speaker BLike as soon as I got got into the utilidors at Magic Kingdom, I was a happy guy.
Speaker BI felt good again.
Speaker BI felt better.
Speaker BSo there's that subject.
Speaker BI went back to work.
Speaker BSubject number three, I went back to work.
Speaker BAnd I'm happy about it, folks.
